Operations
Industrifonden invests directly and indirectly in Swedish growth companies mainly in the form of equity capital or similar financing. Though a patient investor, Industrifonden sets time limits and plays an active role in helping its portfolio companies to appreciate in value. The fund can also provide various types of loans and guarantees.
Assets under management
Industrifonden manages a total of SEK 2.9 billion, of which SEK 1.6 billion is invested.
Competent capital
Industrifonden is an active co-owner which, in addition to capital, provides its portfolio companies with technical and business acumen and a network of contacts.
Investment criteria
Industrifonden invests in small and medium-sized companies with growth potential. The companies have no more than 250 employees and a maximum of SEK 400 million in sales. For Industrifonden to invest, a company must have strong management, a unique of business concept and good prospects of profitability in a growing, international market.

Industries
Industrifonden invests in companies in IT, telecommunications, electronics, life sciences, industrial technology, energy and environmental technology (cleantech).
Long-term investor
Industrifonden is an evergreen fund, which means that all returns are reinvested in new projects. Because of this, the fund can take a long-term approach.
Active co-investor
Industrifonden works with other venture capital firms. Most of our investments are syndications, where we are involved together with other investors. In some cases, Industrifonden may be the sole investor.
Investing throughout Sweden
Industrifonden has offices in Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö and Linköping. It is also co-owner of a number of venture capital firms around Sweden.
History
Industrifonden is a foundation formed by the Swedish state in 1979. A foundation is a self-owned entity. Industrifonden receives no government funding, instead utilizing only its own resources. The fund's by-laws stipulate how it operates, and the board of directors is appointed by the government.
