Industrifonden and SEB invest in Biomain
Stockholm, March 14, 2008: SEB Venture Capital and Industrifonden have invested in the Helsingborg based company Biomain, a dental company, chiefly specialising in implant products.
In recent years the company has secured a significant share of the Swedish market, and has now commenced an international initiative.
- We are very impressed by Biomain's growth and innovative product development
during recent years. With its unique family of products, I-Bridge, we believe that Biomain has the right product mix to succeed in the international market, says Rickard Malmsjö, Senior Investment Manager at SEB Venture Capital.
- We have been following Biomain's activities for a while, and have been able to confirm the company's positive development. With new innovative products and an international launch, we foresee a continuation of the company's interesting development, observes Lars Persson, Investment Manager at Industrifonden.
- We are bringing in external capital in order to accelerate our internationalisation
process, says Biomain's CEO, Jerry Wiener. In SEB and Industrifonden we are getting two stable and knowledgeable partners, which we value highly. We are now obtaining the resources to intensify our product development to enable us to produce international adaptations of our products more rapidly.
In 2007 Biomain was ranked by business daily Dagens Industri as one of the 20 fastest growing companies in the country. The company was founded in 2002.
